If you're unsure about your child's attendance, please consult our school nurse or counselor. They can provide guidance and support to ensure your child's success in school.

Picture Make Up Day!!

Congratulations to our Student Attendance Award Winners for this past week! These outstanding students were recognized this morning with a special prize for achieving perfect attendance last week. As part of Attendance Awareness Month, we’ll continue celebrating strong attendance all September long. Each week, students with perfect attendance will be entered for a chance to win exciting prizes—so keep showing up, everyday matters!

Flu Vaccines: Sign up at this link: https://redcap.link/Hawkins_Rogersville2025SLVFlu to have your child receive the flu vaccine at their school. Sept. 29 for SCE, MES, MCE, CVE; Sept. 30 for SES, SMS, JRP, HES, Oct 1 for CHE, VHS, BGS, CHS; and Oct 2 for CHM, RMS, Pathways, and Clinch. Deadline for completing online consent is September 21. Bus drivers are often the first and last school representative a student sees each day. Their role is more than transportation—it’s about care, consistency, and connection. We’re proud to celebrate them in a powerful and meaningful way.  Big shout out and huge thanks to the HCS Bus Drivers – our dedicated warriors of the road!! 

Congrats to our August recipients of Student of the Month!

Attendance in early grades builds a foundation for students in later grades. Students gain positive habits, strong academic foundations, and confidence to succeed throughout school. Research shows a direct correlation to chronic absenteeism and reading levels in 3rd grade!

Monday, September 1, 2025 Hawkins County Schools will be closed for Labor Day. Have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend.

DON'T FORGET OUR FUNDRAISER! This fundraiser is being sponsored by Cornucopia of Kingsport. I have attached their order forms along with their flyer to give details of pricing and flavors that are offered. They have several flavors to choose from and the cost is $18.00 per gallon bag (which is resealable). They also offer 1 gallon buckets (which have unlimited refills for $10.50 each time) and the cost is $30.00. One form is for the bags and one form is for the buckets. Please collect money at time of order. We will be awarding one class from each grade level that sells the most, an ice cream party. We will also award the class overall that sells the most, a pizza party. Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional order forms. Thank you for your help in supporting our school and students. We will send out a message as soon as we have the orders available.

Starting Friday August 29, the cafeteria will start serving ice cream. The cost will be $1.00. You may send money with your students, come by and add money to their account or add money to their account by using the My School Bucks app.

Overview of TN Laws Regarding Technology Use in Schools
*Internet Safety Law requires schools to establish and enforce acceptable use policies for students and employees. This law also requires schools to teach about digital citizenship and safe online behaviors.
*Cell phone usage is banned during the school day except in emergencies or for specific health conditions.
*Student Data Privacy regulates the way third party venders handle student data, forbidding them from using the data for anything except educational purposes.
*School districts are required to adopt and implement anti-bullying policies which specifically address cyberbullying and harassment.
