Public Notice - Our Private School and notice for disabilities meeting is scheduled for April 17, 2025 at 9:00A.M. at the Special Education Building, 200 North Depot St. Rogersville, TN.
The Hawkins County School District can receive designated funds each year by the federal government to provide service once agreed upon to students who are eligible to receive special education services. These services include students who are currently being homeschooled or attend a private school in Hawkins County and are eligible for Special Education. The Hawkins County district is required to meet with the administrators of private institutions or parents who are currently home schooling their children in order to discuss what services can be provided.
The Hawkins County School District can provide services for special needs children and young adults, age 3 years to 21 years, who reside within the system's district. If you have or know children who are currently not being served, please contact the Hawkins County Special Education Department at 423-272-7629 Ext. 2405

The State Board of Education Approved Textbooks are available for review on the Tennessee Department of Education website here. In addition, samples can be reviewed on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.at McPheeters Bend School, 1115 Goshen Valley Road, Church Hill.
On Wednesday, March 12th, 8th Grade students will be visiting Cherokee High School to meet with counselors and tour the CTE facilities. Hawkins County School District is excited to offer Summer Learning Camps again this summer for our students who will be Rising 1st-9th graders. Summer Learning Camp will take place for four weeks, four days a week, between May 27 - June 19 from 7:30-2:30 p.m. This camp will focus on rising 1st-grade students through rising 9th-grade students. Parents will be notified of acceptance before the start of summer camp. Transportation will be made available daily. Breakfast and lunch will be served as part of the program.
