2026 RMS Track & Field Team

Our 8th Grade Students toured Cherokee's CTE classes today and had a great time! They learned about the firefighter program, auto mechanics, ROTC, computer science, and many others. District Announcement: Hawkins County Schools will continue to be closed on Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6, due to unsafe secondary roads. Although the recent rain and warming temperatures have helped improve some of the road conditions, 80-85% of our secondary routes remain unsafe for bus travel. Due to warming temperatures and sunshine forecast over the weekend and into next week, we aim to open schools and run buses on clear routes beginning Monday. Congratulations to Payton Kelly who competed at the county-wide 4-H public speaking competition placing second and advancing to the regional competition in March. RMS is proud to have this representation from our school.
